HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BEGIN DRESS SHOPPING?

In order to ensure you are not rushed with your decision-making, I recommend that you begin dress shopping 9-12 months in advance of your wedding date, purchasing 6-8 months in advance of your wedding date.

CAN I STILL BUY A BRIDAL DRESS IF I DO NOT LIVE NEAR YOUR LINCOLN, UK SHOWROOM? AND HOW IS IT LIKE SHOPPING ONLINE FOR MY BRIDAL DRESS?

Yes, I have worked with online clients for years. Actually, online is where I started, with my shop on Etsy. However, now that I have an Official Website, I can have a single one stop shop for all my bridal clients - locally and abroad. Although we will not have a 'Showroom Bridal appointment' experience, for online brides, customer service is something I believe in. All online "Sized Dress" orders have a lead time of 12-16 weeks from order date and an additional 2 weeks for shipping (depending where you are in the world). For "Made to Measure" orders our lead time is between 20-28 weeks and 2 weeks for shipping.  Throughout the process I will virtually hold your hand from decision making, construction, to final product, to you wearing it down the aisle.  If you are still not sure about ordering your bridal dress online, why not request a sample to try on at the comfort of your own home. Often brides invites their mother, maid of honor and members of their bridal party and throw on a "Try-On Party" with bubbly and bites (a fun idea!). More details of our Try-On Program here. As a designer who sells directly to her bridal clients, all my customers are my stakeholder. :)

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT IF I WANT TO GO TO YOUR SHOWROOM?

Yes, my private fittings are by appointment only and are recommended for brides who are on the serious hunt & ready to purchase their gown. Please email bridal@sheensolis.com to book a time with me. Just looking for inspiration to start? Or only interested in browsing some accessories? Not to worry, I invite you to book an appointment where I can set up a shorter time slot in order to best accommodate your needs.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE? AND HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I BRING TO THE APPOINTMENT?

My private fittings are scheduled for one hour, but rest assured that if we run over, I will happily schedule another appointment with you to make sure you are taken care of. If you are not familiar or local to Lincoln, let me know in advance and I can accommodate an hour and a half appointment.

WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR GOWNS?

My made-to-measure with my bridal collection range from £1400-£1900. For bespoke made-to-measure it can range from £900-£3000. With the bulk of our 'standard UK sized' gowns ranging from £750-£1500. I encourage you to become a website member and refer to my 'Bridal Collection' page in order to best understand the price range for each design. 

WHAT SIZE GOWNS ARE AVAILABLE TO TRY ON AT YOUR LINCOLN, UK SHOWROOM?

My dress samples range from UK size 8-10, but please note that your gown can be ordered up to size 16 and we can also make to measure.

If your sizing is outside the range mentioned above, I have creative ways of making sure you can experience the look of your desired dress. I have future plans of carrying larger sample sizes to accommodate even more brides.

I AM SHOPPING ONLINE, I KNOW YOU PROVIDE SIZED DRESSES, CAN I ORDER A MADE TO MEASURE DRESS IN ONE OF YOUR DESIGNS?

Yes, I definitely offer made to measure for online clients. The process includes a very comprehensive measurement guide for you to follow so that I can get your most accurate measurements as possible. I virtually hold your hand and walk you through the process of getting one of my designs made to measure for you. For any enquiry about this service feel free to send me an email. Lead time to order is 20-28 weeks from order date and 2 weeks for shipping.

WHAT IS THE START TO FINISH PROCESS OF PURCHASING A DRESS FROM BOTH YOUR SHOWROOM EXPERIENCE AND/OR YOUR ONLINE SHOP?

Your initial appointment will include a tailored, one hour dress up session along with champagne ( I also offer non-alcoholic refreshments such as coffee, tea, water..)

If a made-to-measure gown is purchase for either a collection dress or bespoke request, the process is all inclusive:

  1. Measurements are taken 2. Toil Fitting (your dress in a Calico Fabric Material that is the pattern of the design chosen. All final amendments on the pattern are changed during this meeting). 3. Up to 3 fittings max. & 2 hours free alteration. And a last follow up appointment to pick up your gown.

If a 'standard sized' made-to-order gown purchase is made you will have a follow up appointment to pick up your gown.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY MADE-TO-ORDER GOWN TO ARRIVE?

Depending on whether you have opted for made-to-measure, standard size, or bespoke there is a 3-6 month lead-time for all orders. Rush orders are available upon request, but keep in mind that fees will apply.

DO YOU OFFER/INCLUDE ALTERATIONS FOR ONLINE CLIENTS & FOR SIZED ORDERS?

For my online clients, I always recommend that if they should need any final alterations they do it local to their home city. I do not offer in-house alterations for online clients as it would be impossible to be able to alter a dress where the client is not present.

For all sized orders, if ordered locally, I do not include my in-house alteration to these orders. I have a handful of recommendations of local tailors & alteration boutiques I can refer you to. Please note, I am not in contractual agreements with my recommended tailors & alteration boutiques, nor do I receive any payment from them for your business.

IS THERE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

Yes, I kindly ask that you give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule your fitting. Since I am appointment-only I thank you in advance for your cooperation.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

All Made-to-Measure orders & bespoke orders and accessories are final sale. 'Standard Sized' orders can be returned within 14 days in unwashed, unworn, and undamaged condition for store credit only.
